2022 WPGA Play Day Registration Opens April 6
By WPGA • March 31, 2022

WPGA Play Days offer Association members the opportunity to explore WPGA Member Clubs in a relaxed, enjoyable, and non-competitive environment while paying an affordable rate. Unlike a competition, players can pick their group and tee time and select the tee markers they would like to play from. This is a great opportunity to meet new players or get your regular group together to play a quality golf course at a great price. Last year was a record year for WPGA Play Day entries, and we hope that this program will continue to grow.

The first WPGA Play Day of the season will be held at Wildwood Golf Club on Monday, May 9th and registration for that Play Day opens on April 6th at 9AM. Registration for the rest of the Play Days will open on Wednesdays at 9AM throughout the golf season. Registration will close 10-14 days before the date of play. If a lottery is held, it will taken place after the close of entries with players in the Play Day being notified shortly after. Additional WPGA Play Days will be added throughout the season as they are scheduled.

Registration Lottery System

Like last year, registration opens for individual WPGA Play Days about one month in advance of the scheduled date. Players must register online through our Event Registration Portal. Registration will be left open for two weeks. For 2022, all Play Days that fill before the close of the registration deadline will be subject to a lottery system that randomly selects which groups will be admitted into the Play Day. Players will receive a confirmation email if they are chosen through the lottery. Play Days that do not fill within the registration deadline will be reopened and additional players will be admitted on a first-come first-serve basis.

WPGA Members Only

For 2022, only WPGA Members will be allowed to register for Play Days. WPGA Members will no longer be allowed to bring or register a guest. Players who are looking to join the WPGA need a Handicap Index® issued by an existing WPGA Member Club or can join online here.

In addition to joining the WPGA, each player looking to register will need an account on our Golf Genius Tournament Management software. You can create the account by going to the following link and clicking "Sign in/Register" in the top right corner.

Group Registration

For 2022, only groups of 2 or 4 players will be allowed to register. If you plan on playing with a foursome, please be sure to register all 4 players together to be sure the whole group has a chance to get in the Play Day through the lottery system.

If you have any questions regarding the WPGA Play Days, feel free to email Davan Groom or call the Association offices.

We look forward to another successful season of WPGA Play Days.
