WPGA to introduce Net Senior Series in 2019
By WPGA • February 8, 2019
Beginning in 2019, the WPGA will add a four-event Net Senior Series to the schedule as part of a continued effort to expand our net offerings. Each of the four events will include a Senior Division, open to players 55 and older, and a Super Senior Division, open to players 65 and older. The series will culminate with a Net Senior Series Champion based on points accumulated at each event throughout the season.
The WPGA Net Senior Series will run concurrently with the Senior Series, which was first played in 2017. The first of four 18-hole events will kick off the 2019 WPGA Competition Season on May 14th at Diamond Run Golf Club. Next the Net Senior Series will head to Butler Country Club on May 29th, followed by Hannastown Golf Club on June 10th. The final event of the Net Senior Series will be played at Ligonier Country Club on August 29th.
Players are eligible if they have reached their 55th birthday as of the competition date and have a Handicap Index of 8.5 or greater and not exceeding 34.0. The tournament format is Net Stableford Stroke Play.
Registration for the 2019 WPGA Competition Season opens on February 1st. Visit the WPGA Registration Portal to register for the Net Senior Series or any other WPGA event. For all the latest Western Pennsylvania Golf Association Updates, follow the WPGA on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
