Five scholarships awarded for 2017-2018

Adam Brueggman, South Hills Country Club
The Western Pennsylvania Golf Association has awarded scholarships to five WPGA Member Club employees for the next school year.
Adam Brueggman has worked at South Hills Country Club for the past four years in the golf shop and bag room, and as a caddie. He will graduate from Baldwin High School and attend Duquesne University in the fall to study business and finance.
A caddie at Nemacolin Country Club since 2013, Nathaniel Luketich will graduate from California Area High School and he will attend the University of Pittsburgh to study biomedical engineering.

Nicholas Pantelis has worked as a caddie at South Hills Country Club for the last two seasons. He will attend the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University to study chemical engineering after graduating from Baldwin High School this spring.
A graduating senior at Ligonier Valley High School, Brandon Silvis has worked in the golf shop at Champion Lakes Golf Resort since 2014 and will attend St. Vincent College in the fall to study biochemistry.
Connor Swiatek has worked in outside operations and as a caddie at Longue Vue Club for the last three years. Currently a freshman, he attends the University of Pittsburgh where he studies finance.
All five will join the nine students currently receiving WPGA scholarships. The WPGA Scholarship Committee’s commitment to these students is $56,000 for next year.
