The competition is 18 holes and the field is 45 players and there will be a Senior Division (ages 55-64) and a Super-Senior Division (ages 65 & above). Groupings and tee times can be found at wpga.org. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tees. The entry fee includes practice range fee, locker fee, lunch, trophies to the winners in each division and merchandise prizes.
NOTE: Players age 65 and above will be defaulted into the Super-Senior Division unless they have otherwise contacted the WPGA to be placed in the Senior Division.
Format: 18 holes of stroke play. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie for first place, a hole by hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee.
Tee Markers: Play for the Senior Division is from the BLUE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,300 Yards). Play for Super-Senior Division is from the WHITE WPGA tee markers (Approximately 6,050 Yards). Yardages will be contingent on course conditions.
Practice: Practice round times can be scheduled by contacting the golf shop at 412-741-2020. Practice rounds are available on weekdays based on availability at a rate of $75, and on weekends after 2:00 PM at a rate of $99. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player, must be pre-arranged, and are at the discretion of the club. The Golf Professional is Adam Morrison.
Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is required for the competition. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Two carts per group will be permitted for threesomes and one cart per twosome. Cart fees are included in the entry fee.
Food: The WPGA provides water on course and lunch for players only. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.
Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.
Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Neville Island or Cranberry areas.
Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and fifteen minutes (4:15). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.
Evacuation Plan: In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, players should return to the clubhouse immediately. Note: A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged air horn note. All other types of suspension will be signaled by three consecutive air horn notes, repeated. Resumption of play will be signaled by two short air horn notes, repeated.
Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition. Spectators may purchase lunches via cash or reciprocating club charge.
